Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates features live text for the weekend matchups via multiple platforms, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Also, audio coverage can be heard on select stations covering a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six of the NFL season , following recent talk about the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both lost their unbeaten records.

Notable in those games were the amount of infractions each committed. The Eagles did so in key moments meaning they essentially beat themselves after leading 17-3 entering the final quarter versus the Denver Broncos, who play in London this weekend.

But it proved good to see how Denver's QB the rookie managed to have that deficit before direct three scoring drives on three possessions during the final period, to win the game 21-17.

The Broncos have the defensive player of the year in cornerback their star corner. They rank number one in goal-line defense, whereas the Eagles are number one in red zone offence, and Denver won that contest.

They had effective strategies regarding disguised blitzes. They did not necessarily sending more than four pass rushers but they could plug two linebackers in the 'A' gap then withdrawing them and dispatch a nickel off the edge.

At the start in the campaign, it was noted during a show how the Broncos could be the current year's surprise contenders. They finished last season strongly then excelled in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's underdog story?

New TE Evan Engram has stepped up significantly and new running back JK Dobbins is a player the team trusts. He now ranks fifth league-wide in ground gains (402) and tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).

It's impressive how the coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUSH!" at the top on his call sheet.

That shows how Denver represent a squad aiming to prioritize the run, since one can achieve much based on that approach. It slows down the pass rush and maintains in favourable situations.

This has benefited quarterback Bo Nix, who entered into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, passing for 29 touchdown passes – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to pass anywhere, but they lack in the same way that Nix has. He boasts exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, plus he's so athletic.

His strengths include his mobility, the capacity to pass while moving, as well as using different arm angles to make throws when he rolls outside protection, the bootlegs. He is able to throw that layered pass over the middle or past defenders.

As a rookie QB, aged 25, he's got great composure under pressure and is not bothered by extra rushers. He tries to evade a sack as much as possible and is able pass in tight spots. He possesses sharp intelligence and remains very decisive.

If you constantly rush it consumes time and forces the defence to stay in play extended periods, and when you have a mobile QB the defence has to defend the area downfield side to side. This proves draining.

The quarterback has bitten back with the coach on the sideline sometimes and I think the coach likes that attitude, seeing him as such a competitor. In my view it's exciting for him to coach a young quarterback who's similar to moldable clay. The coach can truly develop him the way he desires to shape him. I think it's a special experience for the coach.

Payton owns a championship and has passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed it all. In my opinion the success Denver are having on offence is mostly down to his leadership, his schemes, his game sense – and the combination with Nix helps make him into who he is.

There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to assist you during some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.

I believe in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. But are they strong enough to go against a top squad at full strength? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles last Sunday.

Currently, I don't think Denver are incredible. They're performing above average, which is a solid position to hold the AFC West. All they need to do to continue this trajectory.

They're really good at embracing their forte, that is running the ball, and this is precisely what they should do versus the Jets in London. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

The Jets have allowed 140 yards on the ground per game (among the worst), five ground scores so far (in the bottom ten), and they are the sole squad yet to win a game.

Ever since the NFL began tracking turnovers decades ago, this team are also the inaugural squad to go without a single takeaway through five games, which is surprising considering that their new coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs' QB says the Chiefs are off to a poor start following Monday's defeat by the Jaguars.

After the upcoming matchup, Denver face a smooth-ish schedule until their break (in week twelve) - the Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans and the Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In their division, the Chiefs hold a losing record and the Broncos are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 so they could make a run at leading the division.

This hinges upon which form Kansas City shows up they face because Denver {beat|def
